Let me be

Let me be like the wind
I’m here but you can’t see
Let me be like the waters of the sea
I’m crystal clean
Let me be like a toad
I’m a poison you can’t taste
Let me be like the sand
I’m everywhere spread across the land
Let me be like the grass
I once was an antelope grazing on the land
Let me be like the cross
the son of man was my thorn
Let me by like an artist
I painted what someone can
Let me be like the moon
I carry the footprints of man
Let me be like the fire
I cleanse what needs tobe cleansed
Let me be like a scientist
I answer the unanswered
Let me be like the tree
my roots go deep to drink
Let me be like the ant
I’m small but work harder because I can
Let me be like no other
because I’m unique like all the others
Let me be like the wings on a bird
So can I fly above all the others
Let me be

About Amanda Shelton

I write, and I do digital art. My life is never too boring, I think too much for my life to be nothing but interesting. I always put myself into my writing, so if you want to know how I think then just read my poetry, and short stories. Also I am brutally honest, and I love everyone unconditionally. No one is a stranger to me, I will treat you like I treat everyone else, like family.
