On a whim

I’m riding on a whim
the current’s coming in
leaving me fighting to stay a float
and my boat from tipping me over

I stand to the wind
going with the current’s that rushes in
leaving me on unsteady ground
Man I think we are the same
fighting and standing our ground
as our current’s rushes in
making us lose our steady footing
and our scenes of self

We go hand to hand
standing against the wind
riding the current’s as they ruse us in
dry land is firm and grand
keeping us grounded through
high tide and high winds
making our fight even more worthy of our time

About Amanda Shelton

I write, and I do digital art. My life is never too boring, I think too much for my life to be nothing but interesting. I always put myself into my writing, so if you want to know how I think then just read my poetry, and short stories. Also I am brutally honest, and I love everyone unconditionally. No one is a stranger to me, I will treat you like I treat everyone else, like family.
