A cup of coffee and sunrise please

Every morning the flowers bloom

leaving a scent

a strong perfume

As the wind carries me along on its fingertips

grazing my nose

with its heavy airiness and flow

such winds that blow

and change for me

Leaving me to wonder in its wafty noises

and me lessening to its deep voice

that beacons me oh so softly to its borders once again

I love the dew on the grass

it’s morning leftover residue lingering for its last breath

as the sun dries up all the dewdrops

leaving its rainy smell upon my morning coffee

and me drinking it up soaking in its morning-glory .

Aw coffee

A cup of coffee is the best when the morning calls me to my feet.

About Amanda Shelton

I write, and I do digital art. My life is never too boring, I think too much for my life to be nothing but interesting. I always put myself into my writing, so if you want to know how I think then just read my poetry, and short stories. Also I am brutally honest, and I love everyone unconditionally. No one is a stranger to me, I will treat you like I treat everyone else, like family.
